The 28-Day Rule

  • Money that you want to declare for maintenance, including tuition and living expenses, must be present in your account or your parents’ account for a minimum of 28 days.
  • The amount of money in the account must not go below the required amount even for a single day.
  • Your application will be rejected if you fail to maintain the minimum quantity required by the Home Office.
  • The bank account statement you provide with your visa application shouldn’t be more than 31 days old on that date.
  • The latest transaction date in the most recent dated bank statement serves as the basis for calculating the 28-day grace period.

Evidence of Funds    

For college students with student loans

If a student has student loans, they must present a loan letter indicating:

  • Issued No Earlier Than Six Months From The Application Date
  • Confirms That The Loan Is A Student Loan, Given By A Government-Sponsored Student Loan Company, An Academic Loan Programme, Or Another Educational Financing Scheme.
  • Confirms That Money Won’t Be Released For Anything Than Studying.
  • Mentions The Loan’s Amount Mentions The Applicant’s Name (Student)
  • Written On The Letterhead Of The Provider
  • Prior To The Start Of The Course, Confirms The Release Of Money To The Applicant (Student) Or The Sponsor.
