Honor 50

by Uneeb Khan

The Honor 50 is a well-rounded phone; it has an impressive screen, front-facing camera, and battery life, and we encountered no significant problems when using it. We had trouble identifying a niche in which the device excelled, but the mid-range phone market is crowded.

The phone has a very fashionable appearance. Emerald Green, Midnight Black, Frost Crystal, and Honor Code are the available colors. With the primary camera on top, three secondary cameras, and a flash below, the back cameras are set into an oval, rose gold plate. On top is the primary camera. A very modern aesthetic is combined with a dated appearance. This mimics the appearance of a Rollei Twin Reflex camera.

Features

50 HONOR: Cameras

  • The 108MP main back camera on the Honor 50 made me very eager to get my hands on one. Also featured is an 8MP wide-angle camera with a 112-degree lens. The phone also includes a 32MP front-facing camera, a 2MP bokeh camera, and a 2MP macro camera.
  • I was a little disappointed by the quality of the pictures it captured because I had never used a phone with a main camera with such a high resolution. Although the camera doesn’t appear to be extremely sharp from edge to edge, the colors it displays are highly distinct from what the eye sees. The camera can still capture clear, high-quality photographs in low light, with little to no noise and vibrant colors.

HONOR 50 Achievement

  • A mid-range phone like the Honor 50 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset, which is a lot of power. An enhanced version of the Snapdragon 778G with better GPU and CPU performance is the Snapdragon 778G Plus 6nm SoC. The Qualcomm Kryo 670 CPU in this has a clock speed of 2.5 GHz, which is faster than the 2.4 GHz of the Qualcomm Kryo 778G CPU. The company claims that the Adreno 642L GPU will provide up to 20% faster graphics rendering than the previous model. The remaining variables are the same.

HONOR 50 Programs

  • Honor 50 runs MagicUI 4.2, Overall, I feel let down by this software, at least personally. Since I didn’t encounter any serious bugs, I guess it’s not about bugs. Given that I’ve used numerous phones, the software resemblance between EMUI and Magic UI is a little tedious. A major setback is the absence of key crucial functions like slow motion, twin apps, and light painting in the camera app. Aside from these functionalities being absent; using Magic UI 4.2 is an excellent experience with little drawbacks.

A few additional details

If you don’t want to constantly carry a charger or power bank with you, the honor 50  4,300mAh battery may last for a full day of use even if you don’t use it all at once. It doesn’t matter if you have to charge it during the day. Honor claims that its 66W Supercharge technology can charge the battery to 70% in just 20 minutes if you use the included charger.

Conclusion

In the Middle East, this phone retails for 1669 AED, including freebies. Due to its overall luxurious feel, this phone is a fantastic choice for the price. In my opinion, the device’s display and potent Snapdragon CPU are its standout features. The camera could be better, but right now it isn’t really failing us. Without a doubt, if you’re a casual daily user, this phone will be a terrific choice. Additionally, we should keep in mind that this phone is appropriate for both leisurely and brief periods of furious gaming. Here are the benefits and drawbacks I discovered using this gear.
