How to Fix iPhone 13 Pro Max Keeps Restarting

by Uneeb Khan

When a phone starts to restart (aka boot loop) without any visible cause. We tend to get nervous. This goes doubly for a high-end iPhone 13 Pro Max. However, what causes such an issue exactly?

That’s the very question that I’ll be answering today as some potential fixes for this issue. In this article, I’ll be going over the following topics:

  • What causes the iPhone to restart
  • How to fix iPhone 13 Pro Max keeps restarting

Let’s go over some causes for random restarts.

What Causes the iPhone to Restart

Whenever our phone (especially an iPhone 13 Pro Max) restarts randomly during usage, our hearts sink to our stomachs. When you are engaged in a task that is vital, all of your data may be lost in such a situation. That’s before you resolve the issue you should know what are the causes for these random restarts.

One common cause for a random restart of the iPhone 13 Pro Max is the low battery level. Your phone might have enough power left to get through one more text or web browsing session before it needs recharging, but not enough to boot up all its core processes. This can lead to some components failing to start and therefore causing your device to crash and turn off completely. The solution to this problem is to keep your phone charged whenever possible.

A third possibility is overheating. iPhones are widely known for overheating in extreme conditions such as high room temperature or heavy gameplay. I recently bought an iPhone 12 Pro from Wise Market Pakistan which I must clear is in pristine condition. But over time when I’m playing PUBG with my friends, the deceive goes gets overheated.

If your phone gets too hot, it might reboot itself in an attempt to cool down its components and avoid permanent damage. In some cases, just letting your device rest for a while without using it can help lower its temperature and solve the issue.

Another reason that I’m aware of this boot looping is that the internal of the iPhone 13 Pro Max has been damaged. I personally never ex[erianced such type of restarting but I’ve seen multiple devices with such issues. In such scenarios, you’ll need to approach a professional phone repairman and get their opinion.

I need to make another thing clear, there is no guaranteed solution that will always prevent your iPhone from randomly restarting. Over the years I’ve seen many phones that boot looping and there have been varying amounts of success in stopping it from restarting.

However, by staying vigilant and keeping your phone in good condition, you can minimize the risk of this frustrating problem occurring. Here are some methods that generally work for people who didn’t want to approach a repairman and want to do it themselves.

1. Cool It Down

And I’m not talking about throwing it in the refrigerator. What I mean by this is that when you know that your phone is restarting due to overheating, simply remove any back covers on the iPhone 13 Pro Max and don’t use it.

Let it take a breath from all of that constant usage. When the temperature of the iPhone comes down to room level it may stop rebooting. What I personally recommend is that you stay in a cool room with AC because I’m completely aware of what type of heat you can experience in Pakistan.

Previously when I owned an Android phone (specifically a Tecno phone), I noticed the same issue. When I put it in a cooler environment the phone started to turn on again without any issues. Ideally, you want to turn it off to cool it faster.

2. Force Restart

As the name suggests, you’ll forcefully restart the iPhone 13 Pro Max to fix the issue. If the phone isn’t facing any overheating issues then the next step is to restart the device forcefully to get rid of the issue. Some of you might be worried that it might delete all of your data but keep in mind that no such thing will happen. Regardless of what you do, your data will be secure and safe.

To restart an iPhone 13 Pro Max you’ll need to follow these steps:

  • Press and hold the volume up button.
  • Next, do the same with the volume down button.
  • After that, hold the power button until you see the Apple logo.

3. Offloading Unused Apps

Another potential solution for the restarting issue is to offload any unused app on your phone. To enable this feature you’ll need to follow these steps:

  • Tap on settings and then tap on the App Store option.
  • At the bottom, tap Offload Unused Apps.

Conclusion

By following these above-mentioned methods you can easily resolve the boot looping issue in your iPhone 13 Pro Max. My friend who owned an iPhone 13 Pro Max faced the same issue and he told me that the method that worked best for him was the offloading unused apps method.

I’m a bit worried that in the future my iPhone 12 Pro will face similar issues but for now, I’m good. Wise Market Pakistan really delivered on its promise. It was my first experience buying a phone online but I’m happy to say that it was a good one.

I highly recommend that you check out their huge collection of smartphones, laptops, smart bands, and Home & Lifestyle appliances. There is something for everybody. So, stop overthinking and get yourself the best device for the price at Wise Market Pakistan.
