Exam pattern for MPPSC Prelims

The Preliminary MPPSC examination includes two papers, general studies and aptitude, each consisting of 100 questions with correct responses receiving two marks each. There is no negative marking in this exam and candidates are provided with an OMR sheet to mark their answers and read carefully the instructions provided to ensure qualifying for the Mains examination.

MPPSC Mains comprises six descriptive papers. GS 1 covers Indian Culture and Heritage with specific reference to Madhya Pradesh; Geography of MP & India, Constitution of India, Science & Technology etc. GS 2 covers Environmental Protection; Food Processing Industries, Conservation of Natural Resources and Disaster Management with emphasis on Disaster Relief efforts by government; while GS 3 deals with applying scientific & technological advancements into everyday life.

The GS 4 syllabus encompasses topics like Ayurveda and Uterine System of Healing (AYUSH), Central and State Government Health Organizations, etc. While the GS 5 curriculum addresses topics like History of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Livestock Management, Types of Farming Practices, Land Use Development Trends, Climate Change issues etc.
