Jessie Camacho was born on May 1, 1990 in San Diego, California. She is an American actress and singer-songwriter. Camacho began her acting career as a child star in the 1990s, appearing in commercials and minor television appearances. In 2004, she made her theatrical debut in the Broadway production of “The Boy from Oz”. Camacho has since appeared in several notable films and television shows, including roles in “Resident Evil: Extinction”, “Cheerleader Squad”, “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul”, and “The Crown”. She has also released two albums, both of which have charted moderately on the Billboard charts. In 2018, Camacho became a cast member on the ABC musical series “The Good Doctor”.

1. What do you consider your biggest accomplishment?

For me, it would have to be my biggest accomplishment being nominated for a Latin Grammy Awards in the category of “Best Tropical/Salsa Album” for my album “Unstoppable”.

2. What’s your favorite thing about living in Miami?

There’s really nothing I don’t like about living in Miami! The weather is always perfect, there’s always something going on, and the people are absolutely amazing.

What is her favorite food?

1. My favorite food is definitely tacos! I love the flavors and the texture of a good taco.
2. Another favorite food of mine is noodles! I really enjoy the simplicity and flavor of them, and they’re a great way to get your protein in during the day.
3. Last but not least, my favorite food would have to be ice cream! I just love how versatile it is and how many different flavors there are out there!

Where did her go to college?

I attended the University of Houston-Victoria. I studied business and marketing. It was a great experience and I am grateful for all of the professors who taught me. I also enjoyed the campus life and made some great friends.

What’s the last book you read

I recently read a book called “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck” by Mark Driscoll. It was an interesting read and I learned a lot about how to manage my time and stay focused on what’s important in life.

Why do you want to be a teacher?

1. I have always loved teaching and working with children. It is a profession that I am passionate about and love being able to help them grow and learn new things. I believe that teachers play an important role in the development of students, and it is my goal to be the best teacher I can be for my students.
2. I also enjoy working with special needs students as they are often uniquely gifted and can bring a lot of joy into someone’s life. There is something special about seeing a student overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
3. Lastly, I am also interested in providing after-school programs and helping kids stay connected to their community through participate in extracurricular activities. Teaching is not only about imparting knowledge but also developing relationships with students that will last a lifetime.
