There are many ways that are being invented and tried out in order to save people from the hands of cancer. We all know there are different types of cancers and the robotic prostate surgery is required for a prostate cancer although it is important to remember that it should not be done on a patient who is critically ill, it is also not supposed to be performed on a trauma bond patient. People who have recurrent prostate or  metastatic are not allowed to get the surgery as well, the reason for this is because there are many complications that can occur during the procedure which you will see below.

Some mild complications of prostate surgery are;

  • Blood clotting
  • Bleeding infection.
  • Heart attack.
  • Hernias.
  • Permanent urinary incontinence.
  • Impotence.
  • Strictures

Now we move on to the question of ¿Quién es el mejor cirujano robótico de próstata? as it is crucial for us to know who is the person handling our life. So to answer that there are many different specialist in different countries so you need to conduct an online research according to the country you live in

Is robotic surgery better ?

Prostate cancer can be treated by radiation as well as by a robotic surgery and the chances of it working out are the same for both of the treatments so it doesn’t really matter which one do you opt for. Although with robotic surgery, you are provided certain benefits that you don’t get in radiation treatment such as;

  • You are exposed to lesser pain than in radiation treatment.
  • You don’t have to stay admitted at the hospital for prolonged days and waste your time, you are able to get back to your regular life more easily this way.
  • With surgery you loose less amount of blood.
  • As mentioned above, the rate of recovery is faster than usual and helps you get back to your life sooner without too much complications.
  • The success rate of these operations have become better over the period of time, they have gone from 78% to 94% now.

Some of the risks, or disadvantages of robotic surgery

In anything that you do, there are good parts of it as well as bad. Above we have seen quite some benefits of getting a robotic surgery rather than go with the radiation treatment but keep in mind, they are not all there is to robotic surgery, let’s see some of the disadvantages of it now.

  • We know that the technology is advancing, but not every one has access to it or at least to the right kind of technology as it is not very cheap to buy which is our very first obstacle. Robotic surgery is only available in center’s that have the best technology and have specially trained doctors who are able to perform the surgery.
  • Due to the high technology not being easy to install in the first place, the money required for people to arrange for such surgeries is also too high which most people can’t afford and that’s why they back off and switch to other modes of treatment such as open surgery or radiation.

One needs to be extremely careful in these surgeries because it can cause nerve damage and compression which stays with and damages  a person in the long run, so it’s basically like you get treated for one thing but end up with another problem to fix.
