by Uneeb Khan

The Lenovo Ideapad 5 laptop makes a solid appearance with its AMD processor, large display, and Intel GPU. It seems expensive than what it offers in the specs, features and real performance. The sleek and simple exterior with great keyboard feedback and a solid battery life given to this laptop gives it a slight edge over relative options. From the budget point of view, the Lenovo Ideapad 5 is a fantastic choice to get the best value for money.

Lenovo ideapad 5 Laptop Design Factor – Build and Style

The first glance at the Lenovo Ideapad 5 delivers a very polished and tidy look with nothing fancier or luxury. The aluminium-based material has a nice, soft surface texture to glide your fingers on and get a smooth touch. The laptop is essentially available in silver and black colours which are both good for colour schemes. In addition, this one is probably the lightest 15.6-inch laptop that you will get at almost around 1.5 kgs. You can easily carry it around lectures, organisations or nearly anywhere even if you have to travel through buses or trains.

The inside material of the laptop has the plastic lid as well as surface which gives no allowance of finger smudges. This also makes it spill-resistant for liquids or any other food item so you can adjust it anywhere without worrying. The keyboard attached with the laptop is very likeable with tactile and quick feedback. You will get a decent key travel distance which makes it easier and comfortable to type for regular work.

Hardware – Performance and Speed

From the specs the Lenovo Ideapad seems like quite an AMD power with the sufficiently loaded specs. It comes packed with the AMD Ryzen 5 that operates with the base speed of 2.3 GHz and a max turbo speed of 4 GHz. The benchmark scores with this processing speed just come out right for simultaneous web surfing and vigorous applications or programs.

The RAM integrated in the laptop is adequate for multitasking your everyday work and assignments. So, you get a steadfast combination of 8GB Ram and a solid-state drive storage of 256GB. In order to store, execute, upload, and download various number of files, you can rely on this combo speed effortlessly.

The laptop additionally sports a great cooling system for the highest processing speed so you will not get any heated controls. There is also a battery saver feature included in this laptop that allows to save the battery life without any stress. You do get the low-fan noise at 19W, but it is not explosive or extravagant for heating.

The gaming speed of this laptop is fine enough for casual or slightly above gaming. But you certainly can’t move ahead limitations, so you will have to lower the graphics settings such as Fps to let the gaming run smoothly. For AAA games, you might have to go a bit higher tier in terms of specs.

Lenovo ideapad 5 Laptop Display

The 15.6-inch screen panel has the full HD Resolution of 1920 x 1080 which generally delivers good results. For watching your favourite videos on YouTube or Netflix, it is a pretty decent display to watch. However, there are some weaknesses that you will find in this screen. This includes not so good brightness distribution and lower colour-space average with only 54% sRGB. However, the display is matte which makes it non-reflective as a result of which you can directly view it under bright sunlight. Plus, there is also no screen bleeding as such, and IPS makes viewing angles rather comfortable and wide.

Battery

The battery performance and lasting time of the Lenovo Ideapad 3 is one thing that won’t let anybody be easily disappointed. With the 57Wh battery pack, the laptop is able to last around 12 hours, or around which makes it nice for the day. On video playback and games, you can still run the laptop for almost 10 hours. It is great for office hours and work timings so you can just focus on your work without getting worries about plugging.

Verdict

The Lenovo Ideapad 5 does a good job for everyday to regular use but for gaming or high intensity tasks you may need more than what it offers. It evidently delivers good speed for overall digital activities and average computing tasks. Overall, it’s a real nice Notebook for business routine or a normal professional work schedule. In addition, students can also enjoy this laptop for taking online lectures and performing assignments without any speed lags. Our final rating on this laptop shall be exactly 8 out of 10 for daily computing. visit shomdom
