What is the Process for Getting an Indian Visa to Israel?

by Uneeb Khan

Introduction

The relationship between India and Israel has been a long and complex one and visa policies for citizens of both countries are no exception. As with all visa policies, the regulations are subject to change without prior notification, so it is important to stay informed before travelling.

Israeli citizens can travel to India without having to obtain an Indian visa by securing one of two types of entry: an ‘Entry Visa on Arrival’ or an ’e-Tourist Visa’. The ‘Entry Visa on Arrival’ restricts access to 30 designated airports, with 15 being listed in metro cities. The ‘e-Tourist Visa’ mode has been made available to citizens and passport holders of 150 countries, with a validity for a period of up to 60 days from the date of arrival in India. How to Apply for an Indian Visa

The Indian government also offers many other forms of visas for Israelis who plan to stay in the country for longer periods. This includes a student, business or medical visa. A resident permit is also offered to Israeli citizens looking to stay long term, such as for a gap year.

The visa policy for citizens of Poland is similar to that of Israel. Polish citizens can obtain an ‘Entry Visa on Arrival’ or ‘e-Tourist Visa’ to enter India. These visas provide access to the same 30 designated airports that Israelis can access, but the validity period varies depending on the passport holder’s nationality. Polish citizens who will be staying in India longer than 60 days require an additional entry visa, available at a consulate or Embassy of India.

What is the Process of Getting an Indian Visa?

As with any foreign travel, it is important to ensure that all documents, such as a valid passport, proof of residency and a valid visa (if necessary) are up to date and organized properly. This will ensure a smooth and seamless travel experience.  It is also important to note that each Indian visa form comes with restrictions and regulations that must be adhered to. These conditions include restrictions related to the area of travel, activities, duration of stay and more. Therefore, before travelling, it is best to familiarize oneself with the specific Indian visa requirements for Israeli or Polish citizens and make sure to adhere to them accordingly. How to Extend Your Indian Visa

For citizens of Israel and Poland who wish to visit India, the eligibility criteria and processes for seeking a visa to the country are highly detailed. Before entering India, Israeli and Polish citizens must obtain a valid visa, subject to the terms and conditions of the Indian government.

Israeli and Polish nationals seeking to visit India must first secure an appropriate visa to fulfill their purpose of visit. Citizens of the two countries may apply for either a Tourist Visa or a Business visa for India.

The Tourist Visa is granted for a maximum period of six months with a single entry option. Similarly, the Business Visa is available for a maximum period of five years with the provision of multiple entries. Both the visas permit its holder to carry out various activities while in India, barring any economically productive activities.

What are the Requirements for an Indian Visa?

The Indian government has made the visa process very simple and straightforward. Israeli and Polish citizens may apply for their visa either online or with a physical application. For online applications, one must visit the official governmental website of the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs, where they will be required to fill out a few forms, after which they will promptly receive a confirmation email. For physical applications, the documents can be mailed to the Indian High Commission office in either Israel or Poland, depending on the country of residence.

What are the Benefits of Having an Indian Visa?

It is important to note that Israeli and Polish citizens must provide valid supporting documents such as an identification document, proof of personal address, photographs, passport details, and possibly a copy of travel itinerary. Additionally, a type of e-travel authorization is mandatory for a few nationals which can be obtained from the Indian Embassy or consulate in the country of residence.

Finally, both Israeli and Polish citizens must obtain a transport ticket to India before applying for a visa, so as to show the Indian government their expected arrival and departure dates. This should be done at least 15 days prior to their planned visit to India.

Conclusion

In conclusion, Indian visa for Israeli and Polish citizens is attainable if the right procedures are followed and all correct procedures are followed. As long as the Indian visa regulations are adhered to, it should not be difficult to obtain a visa to India.
