5 Ways To Improve The Division Heartland Over Division 2

by Zohaib Khan

Ubisoft is getting ready to start the closed test for The Division: Heartland. But there are still a lot of things that can be improved.

Since Ubisoft’s latest look at the game’s gameplay, fans of The Division have been keeping a close eye on what The Division Heartland has in store. Based on the new information that has been shared, it looks like The Division: Heartland will have the same core gameplay loop and engine as its predecessor. But it will put a lot of emphasis on PvEvP in a free-to-play survival game.

The fact that this upcoming game will be free-to-play has made many fans worried about the microtransactions and how much they might cost. It has also led to discussions about what can be done to make the game better than anything else in The Division franchise.

Melee Combat

Even though The Division 2 has melee combat and builds that can help make it do more harm. It is almost nonexistent and boring. This could be because the game’s main focus is on gunplay and longer-range fights with enemies. But there are also times when enemies get close to players and hit them during shootouts. If players don’t build their characters around using handguns or doing a lot of damage close up with any weapon, they can easily be overpowered.

During the reveal of The Division: Heartland and its gameplay, there is a short scene where the player is holding a melee baton. This shows that melee attacks will have more than just standard attacks, but the developers should make sure that melee has more animations, a wider range of weapons, and a system that is built around it. This will make the game more interesting by adding a new way to play besides taking cover and shooting.

No More Bullet Sponge Enemies

Aim Down Sight

Even though The Division games are mostly RPGs and focus on many of the same things. There is likely something that needs to be dealt with better. When the difficulty level goes up, players expect a harder task, smarter AI moves. And the need to use different strategies to survive each encounter. However, it takes a very long time to wear down an enemy’s armor.

Even if a player’s build is made to beat this, ‘Heroic’ or ‘Legendary’ difficulties will make them outnumbered or too strong for them to handle. To stop this from happening in Heartland, developers should try to adjust this to a reasonable level while keeping the AI’s level of intelligence when chasing people.

No More Crashing (PC)

Shootout

On the technical side, one of the biggest problems with The Division 2 was that it crashed all the time. Which was especially noticeable on PC. Even though a lot of fixes and tweaks have been suggested, the frustration doesn’t go away. This often happens when a group of players is in the middle of a task.

Whether this is because of Ubisoft’s anti-cheat system or a problem with the game’s engine, addressing and fixing this in Heartland would immediately make a huge difference in the general user experience and make Penalty Kick Online game more consistent.

Faster Movement/Parkour

Traversal

A big part of The Division 2 was the parkour and movement, which helped players get from point A to point B when they were in the middle of a fight. This feature was very important because it’s often the only thing that can save a player from being killed by enemies who quickly sneak up behind them. In these times, the movement can sometimes feel either slow or heavy.

If developers can find a way to make players move faster and more mobile. This will help to speed up and smooth out fights and make the playing field more even. From what fans have seen so far of the future game. They can tell that work has been put into the movement for players. The closed beta will give them a chance to see how much work has been put into this.

New Weapons/Better Loot

Lootbox

No matter how likely it is that a player will finally find the weapon they were looking for. Loot drops in The Division 2 will often give them a copy of a weapon they already have. With only a slight difference in how much damage it does. This is true for both guns and sets of clothes, which are called “Apparel.” Players can find them in the open world or in caches.

If The Division: Heartland puts more emphasis on the variety of guns and melee weapons. And makes it easier for players to find the drops they want. It will definitely improve the most important part of the game’s gunplay and looting system.

The Division: Heartland is being worked on to be released. And soon there will be a secret beta for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
